How to Never Quit despite Difficulties

The defining moment in any attempt or project that you commit yourself to begin is the point when you feel like all is lost and you are about to give up. The expectations regarding the project become too stressful, too challenging, or too boring. Your mind starts to master at coming up with excuses for why to quit. It should be noted, this is exactly the moment you should be excited about because this is what separates the winners from the losers. You have to become conscious that the moment when you feel like quitting is critical to your success.

Successful people, world-class performers, and triumphant individuals are the ones who lean into the defining moments. These people know that obstacles are directly created their success. Ordinarily, average people are the ones who quit because they trick themselves into believing that an obstacle is a sign of serious trouble. On account of achieving something big in life, you must have to learn how to reframe difficulties into opportunities.

A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.

The Dilemma of Brain

Successful people do this naturally. Most importantly, they realize that obstacles grow them, toughen them up, and separate them from the competition. Alternatively, the reason most people are mediocre is that they only want to do the things that are easy and comfortable. Thus, the point where most people give up is the point where you have to keep going!

Your brain will always try to keep you in a state of trauma, even when you’re trying to make a positive change in yourself. Most people are always eager at the beginning of try to achieve something, that’s easy. What difficult is pushing through when you feel like giving up the whole built momentum. Most people don’t realize the story that their brains will naturally send them signals to quit once they push their comfort zone a little bit.

To demonstrate, your brain works like a thermostat, locking you into whatever mode of performance that you’ve recently been at. And changing the thermostat takes extraordinary effort. Hence, any time you try to change your thermostat, you will feel resistance and discomfort.

A goal must be Valuable

You have to realize that the reason you chose to pursue that big goal of yours in the first place is that it’s valuable, rare, and difficult to achieve. It must be this way. If your desired objective was insignificant, commonplace, or easy to achieve, you would either already have it or you wouldn’t want it.

To illustrate, if you’re trying to become a doctor, the reason a doctor is so respected and well-paid is that it takes a lot of hard work to become one.

Moreover, if you’re trying to start a business in a new market, the reason that the market is profitable and open is that it takes a lot of hard work to exploit it.

Consider the vast disparity in the effort required to become a doctor vs flipping burgers at McDonald’s.

Do not slip out of the Journey

According to the psychology aspect, knowing that most people are quitters, you can get doubly-excited about every obstacle because you know it will set you apart. Similarly, every extra mile that you run in a marathon race is an extra mile that someone else will quit. You have to keep reminding in your mind that every obstacle you face, others will face. Ultimately, this holds true for obstacles that don’t seem like obstacles: like the boredom you might be facing in your career right now.

Don’t get discouraged! Everyone will experience interval and pause in their career. That’s just part of the game. It does not matter whether your journey is smooth or rocky. Eventually, all that matters is that you stay on the journey until the very end.

Broad Vision

To have a life purpose is very essential. It will boost you stay on track and tell yourself that the hard work is worth it. Undoubtedly, what you need to persevere past all the challenges is a true vision: a crystal-clear picture of your dream. Even if you don’t have a vision right now, or your vision is lacking, don’t be hopeless. Vision can be deliberately created.

Altogether, from now on, start seeing every obstacle in your way as a huge opportunity for you to advance and set yourself apart. As a rule, the next time something catastrophic happens with your venture, tell yourself that you just have to keep going.
